A MAN has been charged after three children was injured in a Southampton hit and run.

Three children were crossing Onslow Road in Southampton at around 4.40pm on Monday, August 1.

A motorbike was heard "roaring up the hill" and the girls were struck.

A ten-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury following the crash.

The rider of the bike fled the scene.

Oskars Bolsteins, 27, of Harcourt Road in Southampton has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to report a road accident, driving a vehicle without a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance.

He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates's Court tomorrow morning.
