AN INVESTMENT company hosted a panel discussion for Hampshire business leaders to discuss how the cost of living crisis is impacting Winchester

Cube Capital ran a networking and panel event on called Hampshire Business Minds on Thursday evening, July 7. Bringing together business leaders both past and present who live and work in Hampshire.

The wealth management firm expanded into Winchester last year and coordinated this month’s event at the Wykeham Arms.

Business leaders, local enterprise partnerships (LEPs), charities and other local stakeholders heard from four speakers in a panel discussion on Winchester’s economic situation amid the cost of living crisis hosted by Robert Craig (founding partner of Cube Capital).

Robert Craig, organiser of Hampshire Business Minds said: “There is a wealth of talented business people living in and around Winchester.

“The idea of Hampshire Business Minds is to create a forum to talk business and investment in a relaxed environment with interesting speakers. Whether you're a founder, investor in start-ups or looking for a business to back, these will be evenings that offer real value and very good connections.”

Attendees heard from Paul Barry-Walsh OBE (Hampshire based Entrepreneur), Lord Stoneham of Droxford (Life Peer), Sue Littlemore (Managing Director - Enterprise M3) and Danny Chambers (Winchester Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate 2024) and their take on how Winchester businesses are positioned for growth despite the cost of living and energy crises.

The 40 guests were then invited for drinks and casual networking in the courtyard of the Wykeham Arms on Kingsgate Street.

Cube Capital intend to host business evenings in Winchester every few months, with speakers lined up to evaluate "How do you make a business valuable?" and "How should I plan for my children’s inheritance?".
