A NEW wellbeing shop has opened in the heart of Romsey - and its owner is hoping to turn it into a space for the whole community.

Moonstone opened in Dukes Mill on Saturday July 23.

Chantelle Monck, 33, decided to take the plunge and open Moonstone alongside working full-time as a biomedical scientist, running a charity and looking after her children.

She said: “There were quite a few people who turned up to our opening and we received a lot of good feedback, which is great to hear obviously when you’re starting something new.

“I live in Ringwood, so it was literally just by chance that I walked past this shop and saw the for sale sign, and knew it was just meant to be.

“My big plan is to connect Moonstone to the charity allotment that I run, so we could get people down there to do things such as lavender jar making, spell jar making and planting your own herb garden – so just bringing people together through these workshops.

“I wanted this to be a shop for everyone, not just wholesales, but to be unique and involve local traders as well, that’s why we offer and encourage anyone who comes into the shop to provide written feedback where they can say what they like or what they want to see in the shop.”

Moonstone aims to bring therapeutic power of nature to a wider community.

It will be open Monday to Saturday 10am until 5pm.

The new wellness shop, in Broadwater Road, will offer workshops and support for local crafters, while also selling crystals, incense and altar supplies.
