AN INDIAN takeaway has been given with a food hygiene rating of one-out-of-five.

Pipasa Balti Indian, in Fleming Avenue, North Baddesley, was given the hygiene rating after an assessment on Tuesday, June 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The Food Standards Agency's website said it was "improvement necessary" for their hygienic food handling, "generally satisfactory" for their cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and "major improvement necessary" for management of food safety.

The takeaway has been contacted for a comment.
