A WINCHESTER man is being hunted by police after he failed to attend court.

Kell Phra-Bang Andrews, of Hyde Gate, was due to appear in front of Basingstoke Magistrates on Wednesday, July 27, but didn't show up.

The 42-year-old was set to be sentenced after he was convicted of three offences which took place earlier this year.

On April 26 he stole salmon, wine, gin, chocolate, sandwiches and energy drinks to the value of £300 from Tesco in Winchester High Street. On the same day, he assaulted Anthony Jackson.

A day later, Andrews entered WH Smith in the High Street as a trespasser and stole tobacco items, scratch cards, plastic lighters and confectionary to the value of £6,752.

The bench issued a warrant for his arrest without bail.
