AN Andover man has been disqualified from driving for three years.

Josh McLevy, 44, was stopped by the police when he was driving a 59-reg Renault Clio on the dual carriageway at Bullington Cross on April 18, a court heard.

McLevy, of Junction Road, had a cocaine reading of 23ug/l when the legal limit is 10. His reading for the cocaine breakdown product BZE was 542 when the legal limit is 50, making him ten times the legal limit.

McLevy admitted both charges when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday July 21.

Magistrates imposed a three-year ban, obligatory for the offences, as well as a £400 fine, £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
