Metaller turned folk hero, Frank Turner, follows the successes of the past year with a brand new album and a full UK headline tour.

Since the release of his debut 'Sleep Is For The Week' 12 months ago,Frank, who is originally from Winchester, has toured steadily in the UK and America and sold over 10,000 copies of his record.

He supported Biffy Clyro, who headlined the Softcore Tour with pals Josh English, Jacob Golden and Jonah Matranga, and Frank played a storming set at the Reading and Leeds Festival.

He also released 'The Real Damage' EP and a DVD called 'All About The Destination'.

To top it all, almost exactly a year after the release of the album, it made the much coveted shortlist of the inaugural XFM New Music Award 2007 thanks to active voting by his loyal fans.

2008 promises to be better still with new album 'Love Ire & Song' ready for release on Monday March 31st.

Written and recorded in a farm just outside Winchester, with the help of producer Ben Lloyd once again, the record touches on the themes of love, distance and loss.

The first single to be released is 'Photosynthesis', out on Monday March 24th, and the song has already been played on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show by fans and new buddies Hadouken, and was played by Mike Davies on his BBC Radio 1 Punk Show.

Frank will be at Winchester's Railway Inn on Thursday April 24, tickets cost £7.
