TWO men have been arrested after police thwarted a suspected late-night drug deal in South Winchester Park & Ride car park.
Officers from the Winchester High Harm team spotted the two men undertaking the illicit transaction on Thursday evening.
They were detained with the help of response and patrol officers and a search of the suspect's vehicle unearthed a quantity of what is thought to be Class A drugs.
Both occupants were arrested for drug supply offences and the driver was further arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "The Winchester High Harm team have been on the streets as usual tackling crime and looking after vulnerable people.
"Should you wish to report a crime or report something you think is suspicious please do not hesitate contact Hampshire Police on 101 or online orlo.uk/uVbRD or via Crimestoppers."
