Trinity Winchester’s Bradbury View residential extension has won Residential Project of the Year at the 2022 Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards.

The awards ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on June 30.

The judges said: “This project demonstrated, in both the written submission and presentation, the application of all the key criteria in the category. Trinity said they could see their future rising before their eyes, and post-occupancy feedback is a huge testament to the commitment of everyone involved.”

Bradbury View, for which Ridge acted as M&E consultant, client-side, as well as Employer’s agent, is a welcoming residential extension to the homelessness charity’s day centre, creating much-needed apartments and communal facilities to help vulnerable people transition from homelessness.

The sustainable, psychologically informed design provides a supportive environment to help transform lives. The wellbeing-friendly accommodation supplements Trinity’s programme of activities, therapies and treatment. The project team worked collaboratively to ensure the delivery of a high-quality building suitable for the complex requirements of Trinity and its residents.

Bradbury View recently won a national RESI Award in the Health and Wellbeing – Residential category, and also won the RICS South-East Community Benefit Award, with the judges adding: “The team worked collaboratively to overcome challenging site conditions and to adopt a less wasteful, faster modern method of construction.”
