THE owner of a new sweet shop in Romsey has thanked the public for their support after a busy first week.

Angel Floss Sweet Shop, in Latimer Road, officially opened its doors on July 8.

Previously known as HumBugs, the new American diner inspired sweet shop now has both a new name and owner, which sells a large range of classic sweets, varying from different flavoured Bon Bons to sherbet lemons.

Owner Victoria Ridge said: “We’ve been incredibly busy and because of the hot weather we’ve seen lots of people coming in to find ways to cool off!

"We’ve sold more than 1,000 Tango Ice Blast drinks and 500 soft serve ice creams, as well as more than 200kg of pick and mix.

"We’ve had more than 1,000 customers through and we’re so grateful to everyone for supporting us – we couldn’t have asked for a better start.”
