WE ARE puzzled as to why the work to replace the wooding boarding on river along The Weirs has come to a sudden stop.
There is still a stretch from the Bridge to be completed. The work was supposed to be completed this spring!
Our efforts to find an explanation from the city council has been unsuccessful and speaking with the contractors workmen recently, suggests there is no immediate plans to restart.
The contractor has this week removed the heavy equipment etc for their temporary site at St Johns which leads us to think all is not well.
