WINCHESTER Foodies Festival has cooked up a treat for its second day running.

The festival opened on Friday, July 14 for three days of live music, live cooking and food and drink to try and buy.

Friday's line up brought the likes of N-Trance, 911 and Rozalla taking to the mainstage, with 'Out Of Reach' singer, Gabrielle performing today.

A selection of food and drink stalls are available for guests to enjoy, as well as professional and TV chefs taking part in demonstrations.

Brian George, president of national BBQ week said: “It’s taken three years to get National BBQ Week to become vegan. The products are based off a pea protein, and they taste like the real thing. A lot of people try it and go wow yeah, I like that.”

Elliot Ma, 46, Lisa Ma, 43 and Barry Maclennan, 41 enjoyed the VIP section at the festival. Elliot said: "We love it here. My favourite part of the festival is definitely all the different food stalls. There is so much to choose from."

A range of stalls selling wings, halloumi fries and carnival street food can be found at the festival, with cocktail pineapples and TimberJacks axe throwing available.

Lauren Tebbutt, 21 said: "I have been coming to this festival every year since I was 16. My family and I love it here.

"It's such a fun weekend, with the live music, food and the people. It's all great and the weather is amazing at the moment too."
