A Strictly Come Dancing star gave a glamorous boost to a charity golf day organised by a Southampton firm.

Professional dancer Kai Widdrington - from the hit BBC One show - joined 164 golfers at the event organised by Simplify Consulting.

Held at Bramshaw Golf Club in the New Forest the charity fundraiser scored £19,000 for Forest Holme Hospice in Poole.

It was hosted by TalkSPORT breakfast time broadcaster Paul Coyte.

The day included a beat-the-pro competition, and there was a raffle and auction.

Top goods including a signed Ronnie O’Sullivan snooker cue and hospitality tickets for a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium match were given away.
