Hampshire hosted a convoy of 60 military vehicles yesterday, Saturday (June 26) as part of official Armed Forces Day celebrations.
The military vehicles departed from Southwick at 10am. The Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire presided at the official start event.
From Southwick the convoy travelled via the B2177 to Wickham where it exited on to the A32.
The convoy the travelled along the A32 through Droxford, Corhampton, and Warnford, to arrive in West Meon. From West Meon, the journey continued to Privett, East Tisted and Farringdon to arrive at the A31 (Alton).
Via The Butts in Alton and exiting via the Basingstoke Road the convoy used the B3349 to travel to Lasham Airfield. The convoy had a stop over and it then departed on the A339 for Basingstoke Leisure Park.
The lead vehicle was followed by two dodge command cars, from which salutes were given. Salutes were acknowledged by dignitaries at Wickham, West Meon, and Alton.
A coach carrying veterans and guests drove behind the command cars.
At the rear of the convoy a contingent of Falklands veterans rode as members of the Royal British Legion Riders branch.
