THESE were trains that had no difficulty running.

After a break of three years, crowds flocked back to the 28th Festival of Toys Trains in Alresford on Saturday June 18.

With nearly 30 layouts ranging from Lone-Star 000 push and go to a Gauge 1 Jubilee themed layout, and 80 sales tables, there was plenty for everyone.

Visitors came by car, bus and steam train (Watercress Line from Alton) and many stayed all day enjoying the various layouts, BBQ and real ale.

The Jubilee layout I had more soldiers than Trooping the Colour and even a Street party.

There were over 80 sales tables with many enjoying excellent sales.

Outside you could watch LGB whilst enjoying a burger and an ice cream.

A great day out with Donations from the show going to Local Scouts, Save The Children and Friends of King Alfred's Buses.
