YOUTH Options Business Club launches at networking event in Romsey, hosted by their first club member DEOS Group and Romsey Chamber of Commerce.

The Youth Options Business Club will offer business partnerships, brining volunteering and networking opportunities for those club members whilst providing support to children and young people in the community.

Companies and organisations across the country came together at the Romsey launch party to network, learn more about the charity and raise money.

The event took place on Friday June 10, with attendees such as Totton College and McMillan Wealth Consultants helping to raise £500 on the night for Youth Options.

The charity is dedicated to helping young people through their centres, support groups, youth work and holiday clubs, helping every young person fulfil their potential no matter their circumstances.

Youth Options provides tailored support to children and young people across Hampshire. Madeleine Durie, CEO of the charity said: “Hampshire’s businesses want to support the communities in which they operate and what better way of doing that than to work with Youth Options to improve the lives of children and young people. Our launch event was a great success, and we are looking forward to working in partnership with business so that, together, we can improve the lives of more children and young people”

Carly Redwood, fundraising and communications manager for Youth Options will be leading the club. She said: “We’re trying to diversify our income so we can help more young people that need us. We’ve had quite a lot of interest over the last few years with corporates being interested in supporting us and we’ve enjoyed working with them, so we wanted to make it a more substantial offer.

“Companies can get in contact with us, sign up for a donation and then we just make sure we’re working together. Each partnership is bespoke to the needs of the company so there is no set way that it will run. But we do have sponsorship structures in place where they’ll get certain marketing and opportunities in return for their donation.”

Businesses can opt for a bronze, silver or gold sponsorship with donations ranging from £500 to £1500 in exchange for promotions, such as a feature on the charity’s website and discounted used of Youth Options centre facilities.

Romsey was the designated location for the launch as it is home to the charity’s head office and where the first club member, DEOS Group is based.

Peter Robinson, from the group said: “Youth Options are close to our hearts. The event was arranged to get local businesses together in a time when collaboration and partnerships are so key to the local community. It was a pleasure to do this for Youth Options and to launch the Business Club.”

The DEOS Group have been leading suppliers of office technology, supplies and furniture since 1978. The company aim to provide their partners with smarter cost control, document management, document security and energy efficiency. To find out more go to www.deosgroup.co.uk
