A van driver who was allegedly four times the legal limit when he collided with a motorcyclist on the A32 near Wickham has been charged with drink driving.
The court heard Stephen Jones, of Mill Road, Emsworth, returned a reading of 120 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when tested by police following a crash involving 42-year-old motorcyclist Scott Lemon on April 30.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on June 6, Jones, 58, was also charged with dangerous driving.
The case was adjourned to Portsmouth Crown Court on July 8. The bench granted Jones unconditional bail until the next hearing.
