POLICE have said they will review CCTV after a special car meet tribute for a man killed in a crash.

Hundreds of people donned yellow on Saturday night as part of a memorial car meet for 27-year-old Harrison Cross.

Harrison died on June 7 in Station Hill, Eastleigh, following a crash with a lorry.

On June 18, the car community from across the south rallied together to pay their respects.

The event started at Britannia Parking in Southampton before making their way to his family home on Fair Oak Road in Bishopstoke.

People adorned their cars with yellow balloons, ribbons and paint as Harrison was well known for his yellow BMW E46 compact.

Hundreds of people lined the streets along with his family members and friends as drivers passed his home revving their engines and beeping their horns.

Police have said that they will "review CCTV footage" of the night to "identify offences".

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "It was reported that a group of more than 100 vehicles had met in Harbour Parade, Southampton, around 5pm.

"This group moved on to the Fair Oak and Eastleigh area further into the evening, before dispersing after 9pm.

"Officers attended and monitored the group's activity.

"We know that meets such as these are a concern to the local community, due to noise, anti-social behaviour and dangerous driving.

"Footage from the evening will be reviewed, as well as any mobile phone footage, dash-cam and CCTV footage, to identify offences and where there is sufficient evidence, we will take further action.

"We would like to reassure our communities that we continue to proactively monitor information and intelligence, and work closely with partners and landowners.

"Organisers must also seek permission of the landowner and the district or city council beforehand."
