COULD I please appeal to the city or county council, through your good humoured generosity, to level out the capacious puddle holes adjacent the bus shelters at St Cross, which give anyone sitting whilst waiting a big splash or sometimes a complete soaking from passing traffic!

I know potholes are still a priority but I question the need for a bus shelter in the first place if one is better off standing away from it when it is raining!

Whilst writing, dare I mention the excessive speed of many vehicles along St Cross Road and also the increasing noise of some modified vehicle exhausts, particularly two wheeled ones.

These local quality of life issues I suggest are much more important to the community than who ate and drank what cake and beer, when and why during the pandemic.

Long live local democracy and accountability.
