Siobhan Hand, from the Owslebury Scarecrow Team, said: “We were honoured that the Mayor took time the time to visit the village and admire the amazing creations.

“He was really impressed by the imagination and talent on show and admitted he was relieved he didn’t have to judge the scarecrows!”

The trail offers half-term fun with a chance to identify the films and enjoy a walk in the countryside – and win a prize of a family meal at The Ship Inn.

From June 2-5, St Andrew’s Church, Owslebury, will also host a flower festival to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
