A POPULAR Winchester restaurant has been awarded a new food hygiene rating of four.

Wagamama in Jewry Street was inspected the Food Standards Agency last month.

It also recently made headlines in April as a video was uploaded to social media showing food stacked in the disabled loo.

The restaurant launched an investigation and apologised - saying the food had been delivered during a busy lunchtime and had been left in an incorrect place by the driver.

The Food Standards Agency visited the restaurant on April 19, publishing its result in May, awarding them a four-out-of-five.

During the investigation, it found hygienic food handling was deemed 'good', while cleanliness, and condition of facilities and building was 'generally satisfactory'. Management of food safety was also deemed good.
