WINCHESTER Talking Newspaper (WTN), which provides free sound recordings of the Hampshire Chronicle to its blind and visually impaired listeners, has held its 30th AGM – the first in its new premises.

WTN's chairman, John Richards, said: "Since our AGM in 2019 we have moved premises twice but are now settled comfortably in our new studio in Winnall Valley Road. We held our 30th AGM in Unit 12, Winnall Valley Road, at 2:30pm on Sunday May 8. Visitors were invited to stay for afternoon tea and to see our new studio."

The event was attended by one of WTN's special friends – Tom McInulty, who was accompanied by his guide dog Toby. Tom was one of the senior regional managers for the Macular Society until his retirement in 2020. Tom lost his sight in 1983 and, since then, has dedicated himself to raising money for different charities for visually impaired people. He has been a trustee at Southampton Sight for 28 years and helps them out with Sight loss awareness training.
