A PRINT FAIR is coming to Winchester for the first time this May as it makes way for local artists and printmakers to showcase their work.

The fair will take place at the Nutshell in Kings Walk on Saturday, May 21 from 10.30am until 4pm and is free entry.

Wooden Truth and Jonny Hannah, who, based in Southampton, is not only a senior lecturer at Solent University for Illustration but created a series of stunning designs for the Royal Mail under the title of Curious Customs in 2019. The organisers, both taking part in the event, Katherine Anteney and John Bloor, are looking forward to be bringing an exciting selection of artists to the Nutshell in the centre of Winchester.

John said: "We've been looking to create a new event where printmakers can connect with people looking for exciting and original artwork. Winchester is the perfect location for this, and we're delighted to hold the first event in the Nutshell."

Katherine said: "We know that we will also attract other printmakers and students, people interested in the different types of printing, so we also have Handprinted joining us, who will be bringing a selection of printing consumables and kits."

In the build-up to the event, they will be sharing the printmakers' bios on their Instagram account @winchesterprintfair
