A ROMSEY man tried to avoid paying a train fare.
Now he must pay a sum 90 times the amount of the ticket.
Kirarn Leggett, 26, of Winchester Hill, was caught on a train at Romsey railway station on December 16, Portsmouth Magistrates Court heard.

The case against him was proved under the single justice procedure.
Magistrates order Leggett to pay the train company £4.60 compensation, fined him £220 with a £34 victim surcharge and £160 costs. The full amount of £418.60 must be paid by May 24.
