A Winchester man has been charged with possessing a kitchen knife in a public place.
Adrian Liptrot, 20, of Christchurch Road, was reportedly found with the blade in Romsey Road on April 30 this year.
He indicated a plea of guilty during a hearing at West Hampshire Magistrates Court on May 2.
The case has been committed to Winchester Crown Court for sentencing on May 27 as Liptrot was already serving a suspended sentence when he allegedly committed the fresh offence.
In the meantime, he has been released on conditional bail, with one of the constraints that he must live and sleep each night at his address in Christchurch Road under curfew. The curfew will be monitored using an electronic tag 'to prevent further offending'.
