An audience of over 300 students and local people gathered at Winchester College to enjoy ‘Resilience 2022’, a sustainable fashion show in aid of local children’s charity Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Set in historic Flint Court on Thursday, May 5 the catwalk event was organised by pupils from the city’s three sixth forms: Winchester College, St Swithun’s School and Peter Symonds College. The idea grew out of the student-led Sustainable Fashion Society, which aims to encourage people to consider the environmental impact of their fashion choices. Winchester College band Arcane opened the event.

The first event of its kind for the College, 60 pupils came together to source and curate outfits from Naomi House & Jacksplace’s Winchester shop, and work with handmade luxury accessories brand GiadaOlogy. All garments featured in the show are available in an online auction in aid of the charity, which will end at 6pm on Thursday, May 12.

Resilience 2022 has already raised £1,500, and hopes to reach its target of £5,000.
