A Winchester woman has been fined for driving more than 10mph over the speed limit on a major A road.
Amy Gaule, 49, of Bar End Road, was clocked by a speed camera travelling 63mph in a Volkswagen on the A1 Western Bypass in Gateshead - a 50 zone - on September 19 last year.
When stopped by police, she was also found to have been driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Gaule was fined for both offences at Gateshead Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 20.
She was ordered to pay a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services, costs of £110 and fined £40 for the speeding offence. Her driving record has been endorsed with three points.
The bench imposed a further £40 fine for the second charge of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
The total balance of £224 is due by June 22.
Gaule's guilty plea was taken into account while imposing the sentence.
