Three local charities will benefit from the charitable work of a Winchester-based investment company.
Gentian Developments has announced financial support for three charities that operate in the city, to enable them to deliver support to more people in Winchester.
Each charity was chosen because of the invaluable service it provides and will receive £3,000 per year for the next two years.

Homelessness charity Winchester Beacon, Winchester Young Carers and Move Momentum, an inclusive dance class, will all benefit from the money.
Managing director Nick Ekins said: "Following our significant investment in Winchester's High Street, we wanted to ensure we also gave back to the local community. We hope our financial support will enable these charities to continue their vital work for people in Winchester."

Gentian is headquartered at the top of Winchester High Street in Trafalgar House. It has investments across the UK and has made a significant investment in Winchester. In in the past year it has purchased four retail properties on the High Street.
This is not the first charitable offering from the firm. It has been a sponsor of Winchester Rugby Football Club for the past seven years and it has also previously sponsored Hampshire Pride.
