A WINCHESTER hair salon is hoping to spread a little joy to people who deserve it most by giving away free haircuts.

As part of its initiative ‘Harington Helps’, Haringtons Hairdressing in The Square is giving people the opportunity to nominate someone for a free haircut.

Nikki Neale, head of marketing, said: “Haringtons Helps is a really important programme for us and is our way of giving back to the communities that support our salons. With all that’s going on in the world, we want to recognise and care for those community members that deserve a boost.

"Anyone can be nominated, whether it’s a thank you to the leader of a community group doing vital work, recognition of a volunteer that’s gone the extra mile or a little pick me up haircut for someone who needs it right now.

"Haringtons Helps gives individuals and groups in the local area the chance to experience its luxury cut and finish service completely free of charge."
