A FORMER Winchester Prison inmate has been ordered to compensate two officers he attacked at the jail.
Kye Whittingslow, 33, now at HMP Guy's Marsh, in Dorset, admitted assaulting prison officers Harry Lee and Christopher Warner on August 24 last year.

Magistrates in Basingstoke jailed him for eight weeks and ordered he pay £100 to each officer. The sentence will be served concurrently to the one he is already serving.
It was unclear from the court record how he, as a prisoner, will make the payments.

The prison watchdogs, the Independent Monitoring Board, has long been concerned at the levels of violence with the prison.
