A MAN was arrested in Winchester after police founds cannabis in his pocket.

Winchester BID rangers helped the police identify a suspicious man on Saturday, April 2 at 3.39pm in Market Street, where he was found to be in possession of the drug.

Officers located and searched the man, who is in his 30s, under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They found cannabis in the man’s jacket and he was issued with a community resolution, which will require him to attend a drugs diversion course.
