Winchester and Chandler's Ford MP, Steve Brine, recently caught up with the eco helpers during a visit to Chandler’s Ford Infants School.
Mr Brine’s attention was drawn to the school’s eco team after their fundraising push for new litter pickers came across the desk of the MP.
During his visit, the MP spent time quizzing the children on their green projects as he heard how the school has been encouraging students, teachers and parents to live a greener life.

Mr Brine said: “It was an utter pleasure to visit Chandler’s Ford Infants School and catch-up with headteacher, Mary Strong, who is doing a fantastic job with the children, especially with green issues.
“I was so impressed with how clued up the kids were on all things green, the future of Chandler’s Ford is bright.”
Mr Brine also had the opportunity to sit in on a special assembly about Ukraine, with the children bring in a soft toy to show their support for Ukrainian children.
