Work resumes on Winchester site
WORK has resumed on a site where a popular restaurant had previously obtained planning permission.
Restaurant Cosy Club had aimed to move into the site which was formerly occupied by Next in 2020, before work came to a halt.
Loungers Ltd succeeded with planning permission of the building, which is between Debenhams and Rick Stein on the High Street.
The space has been vacant for nearly four years, since Next left the site in June 2018.
Cosy Club has been contacted for a confirmation on a Winchester site but has not responded.
Workmen were removing and installing panelling at the entrance of the building but in recent days the work appears to have stopped.
