Katherine Bourbour, 63, is an organiser at the group. She said: “Now we’ve come out of the pandemic, we are getting back together and doing more things in person.

“We support people who are diagnosed with dementia or think that they have dementia.

"They’re seen by professionals in the city, who also come to our memory café.

"There’s tea and cake there, we put on live music, have a chat and put on live workshops.

"All of our volunteers are trained and have passed police checks.

“Sometimes we break up into two groups and people vent. They talk about life being good and life not being so good. Carers get to offload too.
