A VILLAGER from near Winchester has been fined for speeding in Sussex.
Simon James Grinstead, 56, of Pitcot Lane, Owslebury, has been fined driving a 59-reg Ford goods vehicle above 70mph on the A27 near Arundel on March 2 last year, a court heard.
Grinstead admitted the charge at Brighton Magistrates Court. He was caught by a police speed trap.
He was fined £223, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
An allegation of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver / rider of a vehicle when required to the police was dropped because the defendant pleaded guilty to speeding in line with agreement with Sussex Police, according to the court record.
