A MEDSTEAD driver has been fined for nearly causing a crash.

Gail McDougall, 62, of Lymington Bottom Road, Medstead, near Alresford, appeared at court to be found guilty of driving without due care and attention on November 20 2020.

Aldershot Magistrates Court heard that McDougall overtook another vehicle on A339 Basingstoke Road, Lasham, near Alton, crossing double white lines and forcing another road user to brake hard.

McDougall denied the charge but was found guilty at a trial.

Magistrates fined her £100 with a £34 victim surcharge and ordered she pay £500 court costs. Three penalty points were added to her licence.
