A MAJOR Hampshire road has reopened this morning following a 'police incident' last night that led to its closure for several hours.
The A30 west of Stockbridge was shut in both directions at about 11am close to the Wiltshire border, said the traffic information website Inrix "due to police incident from B3084 Salisbury Road (Nether Wallop) to A343 (Lopcombe Corner, Lopcombe Corner)."
The road is the main route between Winchester and Salisbury.
The Chronicle has asked Hampshire police for more information.
