A WINCHESTER woman has been banned from the road after she was caught drink driving in a village near her home.

Anita Domleo, 65, was stopped by the police in Sutton Scotney on December 17, a court was told.

Domleo, of Ellis Drive, Micheldever Station, was breath tested and returned a reading of 61 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35. She admitted the charge.

Another charge of driving while unfit due to drink was withdrawn.

Magistrates in Basingstoke disqualified her from driving for 17 months, fined her £219 and ordered she pay £85 in costs and a £34 victim surcharge. The ban will be cut by 17 weeks if Domleo passes an approved course by December 13 2022.
