A HEAVY police presence was witnessed in Upper High Street, Winchester on Tuesday afternoon.

An undercover police vehicle, two police cars and a police van were seen by onlookers between 2.56pm and 3.05pm on January 11.

A local worker, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "I saw two police officers chasing a girl, then undercover officers arrived. There was a lot of shouting.

"The young woman being questioned was very teary. A lone community supporter and two undercover officers came. They were shouting at the girl before another three police officers arrived to take her away in handcuffs."
