A DRINK driver in Winchester has been banned from the road for four years.
Michael Kenway was nearly three times the legal limit when he was stopped in a 02-reg Audi by the police on Bull Drove, Bar End, on October 23, a court heard.
Kenway, 23, of Grange Road, Hedge End, pleaded guilty. His alcohol reading was 108micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35, making him three times the legal limit.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a 48-month ban, a community order for Kenway to do 80 hours unpaid work, £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge. There will also be a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 25 days.
The 48-month ban will be cut by 48 weeks if Kenway passes an approved course by October 9 2024.
