TWO alleged Winchester burglars will spend New Year in prison awaiting a hearing at crown court.
Kevin John Blake, 42, of Christchurch Road, and David Ashley James Rolfe, 40, of no fixed abode, have been charged with aggravated burglary.
The prosecution allege they burgled property in St Clements Yard in Winchester and were armed with a hockey stick at around 9.35pm on Monday December 20. A handbag containing a purse was stolen.
Blake and Rolfe appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court were remanded in custody and were due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on January 26 .
