SIR: Stan Judd who passed away on December 8, was a beacon of light, shining upon all who knew him, brightening the lives of everyone at the Badger Farm, Community Centre (Chronicle, December 16).
Those sitting with him would typically have a grin on their faces with regular laughter brought on by his wonderfully, often ironic sense of humour.
Seeing him walk through the door, there was always a hint of mischief on his face, and you knew laughter was not far away.
Stan was 92; straight-backed and alert to his surroundings from his days in the armed forces. An occasional salute would bring a respectful smile to all who witnessed this gesture.
Stan will be missed so much, but his spirit will live on forever where fond memories will revisit those who enjoyed his enlightening presence.
There will be a vacuum at the Chat-Tea Café but his enthusiasm and engaging personality that radiated kindness and togetherness will be filled by memories of his jubilant personality. Stan’s love and kindness will be missed.
Simon Lever,
Juniper Close,
