A FAMILY-RUN compliance and ISO standards consultancy, that has offices in Eastleigh and the Meon Valley, is celebrating 26 years of supporting hundreds of businesses since it was established.

Paul Wallis founded Eastleigh-based Hantec Systems Limited in 1995 to offer ISO consultancy services to small businesses in the local area. It now supports a huge range of clients including the TV and film industry, charities and multi-million pound businesses.

As Hantec Systems grew, Mr Wallis’ daughter Lucy became part of the Hantec team. Lucy is the security and vetting expert and has played a vital part in Hantec’s success over the last seven years.

In 2018, Mr Wallis’ eldest daughter Hannah also decided to come on board after spending three years as a primary school teacher. Hannah joined the family business to use her leadership skills and is following in her father’s footsteps supporting other companies with their business growth.

Mr Wallis, founder and managing director, said: “Hantec has been on an incredible journey over the last 26 years.

“From starting out as a one-man-band to now working with a team of amazing staff. It just so happens that 60 per cent of us are family. We have such a wide variety of clients too.

“During the pandemic we have found it particularly difficult as have many other small businesses, but with resilience, determination and pulling together as a family we are getting through it.

“Our biggest achievements are certainly surviving the 2008 financial crisis and getting through Covid19 with a successful business and a smile on our faces.”

Hantec Systems has a team of experts in company-wide governance including, health and safety, fire safety, security solutions and security vetting, and is looking forward to an ambitious 2022.
