WINCHESTER City Council planning officers refused one application this week while another was withdrawn.

Annette Britton’s plan was refused for the erection of three detached dwellings, alterations to existing access and associated landscaping and parking on land of the west of Canterbury Cottages, Chaucer Close in South Wonston.

The withdrawn application was by Riccardo Simonato, at 7 Egbert Road, Hyde, for a side return extension.

All other applications were permitted by planning officers.

An application was permitted for an applicant called Parker for a temporary aerial tower on the existing fire station site, Lower Lane, Bishop’s Waltham for the duration of the replacement fire station build.

Dean Stoneman had an application permitted for first floor rear/side extensions, first floor balconies, roof alterations and front porch extension at Three Oaks Kennels, Botley Road in Bishop’s Waltham.

In Colden Common, Mr and Mrs Haslam can have the extension and alteration of detached dwelling and provision of a new open carport at Tudor House, Wardle Road.

The application for a single storey rear extension with raised patio and log burner flue from Dr and Mrs Goddard has been permitted at Arnewood, Brickmakers Road, Colden Common.

A plan submitted by an agent was given a lawful development certificate for solar panels at Worlds End Pumping Station, Apless Lane.

In Harestock, Mark French can have a two storey side extension and single extension at 86 Priors Dean Road.

Matthew Quinnell’s plan was permitted for single storey side and rear extension, changes to front elevation and loft conversion with dormer at 19 Abbotts Ann Road.

In Littleton, Liam Denny’s amended plans were permitted for the demolition of a garage and erection of two-storey extension, amendments to elevation materials, single-storey rear extension with the installation of new wood burner and flue and replacement of existing septic tank with water treatment unit at Chestnuts, Deane Down Drove.

Mr and Mrs Page can demolish a chalet bungalow and garage and erect a new dwelling with integrated garage and associated landscaping and septic tank at Alderley, Deane Down Drove.

In Alresford, Mr and Mrs Shaw’s application for a dwelling on land next to New Farm Road was allowed.

Richard Nichols had an application permitted for the amendments to plan 20/02465/HOU at 35A Nursery Road.

The plan submitted by David Exelby was permitted for a solar array with 32 solar panels at Southdowns Lodge, Basingstoke Road.

Andrew Hatcher, of 5 Hall Court, Botley Road, Shedfield, can replace the existing carport.

In Soberton, Mr Needham can build an oak-framed orangery; rear utility extension and instal a window to existing first floor side elevation at 8 Hundred Acres.

Mr and Mrs Fogg, in Sparsholt can have two storey extensions and alterations together with removal of outbuilding, closure of an existing access and formation of a new access at Burntwood Cottage, Home Lane.

Mr Stubbington had a lawful development certificate permitted for the conversion of roof space with rear dormer at 9 Brickyard Road, Swanmore.

In Wickham, Annette McKeown had an application permitted for a single storey side extension at Meadow View, Hoads Hill.

In Winchester, Matthew Oliver can have a ground floor and loft extension at 48 Monks Road, Hyde.

Two applications were permitted for work to be done at Winchester Royal Hotel, St Peter Street, submitted by Gemma Lang. One was for car park management and the second was for 13 car park signage mounted on lighting columns and signage poles.

Mr and Mrs Degnarain had an application permitted for the works to be carried out at 6 Barnes Close.

James Ashby can change the exterior ground floor walls colour change from beige/green to pink, the window and door frame painting pink, business signage and the inclusion of the hanging swing signage at 29 St Thomas Street.
