A SWANMORE man has been banned for drug driving in nearby Waltham Chase.
Matthew Bovingdon, 38, of Chapel Road, Swanmore, was driving a 02-reg VW Golf on May 27 when he was caught by police officers on Winchester Road whilst double the legal limit for driving with cannabis in his system.
His reading was 4.4ug/l when the legal limit is 2ug/l, the court heard.
Bovingdon admitted the charge when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
He was banned from driving for three years, fined £400 with a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
