PART of a Winchester city centre car park was closed today (Friday) after a minibus leaked fuel onto the surface.
A section of Middle Brook Street car park was shut off because fuel has leaked from the vehicle owned by Community First.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been at the scene dealing with the incident.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Firefighters from Winchester and Romsey were called to a car park in Middle Brook Street at 10.11am today after a diesel leak from a minibus.
"Crews used absorbent pads to prevent fuel from entering any drains and removed remaining diesel from the tank into containers.
"They handed the incident over to the council and left shortly before midday."
