A REMINDER that the major refurbishment of the Winchester Discovery Centre begins this week.
Yesterday (Thursday) the centre closed for three days until Saturday to prepare for essential stock and gallery moves ahead of the refurbishment work. The library will be shut as normal on Sunday.
From Monday November 29, a pop-up library will be available offering a selection of children’s and adults’ books, ‘Go Online’ internet access terminals and printing/photocopying facilities.
Whilst the pop-up library is in operation, the café at Winchester Discovery Centre will be offering a takeaway service of drinks and snacks. Only cash payments will be taken.
The public toilets operated by Winchester City Council will continue to be available to access from Tower Street.
