A school near Winchester will be helping to create a festive bauble trail.

Children from Bishop’s Waltham Infant School will help Bishop’s Waltham to get into the festive spirit this December.

Through the Bishop’s Waltham Town Team initiative, all the children in the Infant School have been busy in November creating their own baubles.

The trail will run from December 2-16 and each child who has made a bauble will be given a trail leaflet so they can count the baubles in the shop widows.

When they’ve completed the bauble trail, they will be able to return their bauble trail leaflets to Sweet Corner or Best Wishes to collect a Christmas treat and to be in for a chance of winning one of three Christmas hampers from Hylands.

The draw will take place on December 17, after which the children will be able to collect their baubles from the shops where they were displayed in time to hang them on their Christmas tree at home.

The event has been made possible by a grant from the European Regional Development Fund through the Welcome Back Fund administered by Winchester City Council in response to the pandemic restrictions.
