A WINCHESTER man died after taking a painkiller, an inquest was told.

Peter Patrick Moran, 48, of Staple Gardens, was discovered by police after concerns were raised for his welfare on September 2. He had not been seen for several days.

Mr Moran was identified via his fingerprints held on police records.

Consultant pathologist Balvinder Shoker said the cause of death was toxicity from a painkiller and also heart disease.

Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson adjourned the inquest until June 14 next year.
