A SERIAL shoplifter has been handed a suspended prison sentence after admitting stealing in Winchester.
Emily Rachel Corbin, 34, pleaded guilty to three thefts on Sainsbury's supermarket in Winchester, stealing goods valued at £505, on April 29, May 5 and May 12, a court heard.
Corbin, of Robin Gardens, Waterlooville, was jailed for eight weeks by magistrates in Basingstoke, but the sentence was suspended for 12 months. There is also a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days and an order to pay £352 in compensation and £85 costs.
The court heard that Corbin has a "long history of stealing goods for resale", according to the court record. It was not stated if the raids were on the store on Middle Brook Street or the superstore at Badger Farm.
Corbin also admitted breaking two conditional discharges, imposed by Portsmouth Magistrates Court on May 4 and June 5,
